Spelet om Trona s 3
This winter I directed the third satirical musical in our Game of Thrones series at SALT. I co-wrote and played in the first one, took a sabbatical on the second, and this time I co-wrote and directed. These productions always have an element of insane stress because of the short time limit we give ourselves to finsih the entire musical with jokes, storyline, songs and all, but it was still fun and we ended up with a show that both the actors and the audience seemed to enjoy.
In one sketch we had the unlikely love scene between Jamie Lannisters chopped off hand and Theon Greyjoys decapitated d***, both left by their bodies the two limbs find each other and sing a touching duet to the melody of Stings Shape of my heart.
In another sketch Craster (played by Benedicte) defends his way of living with a powerful new version of This is me, his daughter-wives singing the backing vocal.
Overall a show completely lacking in moral, beautifully played by four great actors and a genius musician.
