Spelet om Trona

I got the opportunity to make a 60 minute satire of Game of Thrones season 1 this summer, we called it “Spelet om Trona,” directly (and badly) translated: “An Outdoorsy Play of Thrones”. That is, I was asked to join three other actors, a musician/composor and a director to make “something” in only two weeks and a satire using GOT is what we chose to do. I’m a big Game of Thrones fan. It was an extremely intense two weeks of writing, rehearsing, getting to know each other a bit, making musical numbers and more, the premiere sold out quickly and so did the other scheduled dates. I think the audience was hungry for some theatre and we were lucky enough to co-operate with a big outdoor stage (SALT Art & Music) that could fit 200 audience members and still respect the corona restrictions. Long story short we had no choice but to deliver, and somehow we made a play that both the audience, the critics and we ourselves had a lot of fun with. Relief! We ended up playing four extra shows after our twelve initial dates, all of them sold out.
